This simple to read book contains stories about immigrant and international students' first experiences in the U.S., problems they have solved in their lives, life lessons they have learned, poetry, and much more. We call these students the “Shoreline Scribes" Students from China, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Russia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Mexico, Korea and more places wrote these stories. We hope you will like their work.

Proceeds from the sale of this kindle and print book (available at ) go to the Mark F. and Tiffany T. student fund for students in need at Shoreline Community College. Mark was a business man who helped thousands of Shoreline's ELL students, non-ELL students and area community members learn entrepreneurial concepts related to business, like how to interview, network and start a small business. He was a lead in the small business incubator in the city of Shoreline. He passed away while this book was being put together. He was a giver, a creative genius and a role model to me and most everyone he met- the kind of person you never forget- a man on a mission for good.
